Goodnight friends! Cold wind, quiet but sliver-sharp insistent, made the sky more lively and open today, though not much respite from dimness, no sign of the sun cresting above the trees. Several brief ribbons of rainfall cascading over the day, making long streaks of light mirrored on dark water tremble like guttering candleflames. Getting caught in a light rain after nightfall has a quality of mystery and tenderness that’s hard to pinpoint, making the loneliness of the dark a little friendlier and more companionable, as if you’ve been joined by a thousand diffident shuffling footsteps.
Difficult to sleep as ever in the damp, soreness ans insomnia slowly compounding on each other again to really twist my.schedule around. Everything very drowsy and slow.
May we find through new experiences and reenchantment of the familiar a renewal of our creative drive today!
