Goodnight friends! A hard, slow grind in a succession of sore, grinding days. For the first time in a long time I couldn’t make it out of the house – even pale Autumn sunlight felt too glaring, the cold felt scouring even indoors. My mind seemed a little less scattered, thankfully, so I could occupy myself whenever pain and fatigue weren’t too intense, but generally a little sad and frustrated.
Sky a pale, brittle blue to start, clouding over and cooling by degrees, a sour dampness starting to gather along with the cold. A gasping, huffing wind sprang up too, still grumbling through the trees in the black early hours and bringing a fitful rattle of rain.
May we find ourselves open to unexpected moments of joy and beauty today!
