Goodnight friends! Bright and bitingly cool, though with a pale caress of bright sunlight. It must have rained again overnight, and heavily, because waters were just about as high as I’ve seen them – chocolate brown and roaring, gurgling and foaming around downed trees, paths becoming new bubbling tributaries. A pair of crmorants prowled the reservoir, low-slung yellow-tipped harpoons diving in a sleek, staggered rhythm.
Body felt a bit easier to live in, aches mostly more of a trilling, high-pitched background note. On a broader scale I’m starting to see how much this regular seasonal malaise has been making any kind of indepth activity or thought hard going. I think that adjustment period, to the extent it’s possible, is a slower one than recalibrating expectations for more basic physicality.
May we find a deeper and more compassionate self-awareness today!
