Goodnight friends! Another brilliant, sandpapery autumn day, underlaid by the hiss of dry leaves and thick, chocolate-bitter scent of mud and decay. A sluicing rush of water and glistening expanses of drooping, sodden grass everywhere as stream banks slowly reappear. Herons, bright amongst the sombre half-gloaming of afternoon, prowl amid watery disorder.
Managed a light circuit of exercise, though my day was fairly truncated around it – hard to get up to begin with, and a long dazed stretch of afternoon recovery. I feel myself slowing down fast in the evening too as pains ramp up, temperature dropping quickly after the early dark sets in.
May we find clearer understanding and open-hearted acceptance of ourselves and each other today!
