Goodnight friends! Heavy downpours yesterday and overnight swelled streams up over their banks, flattening reeds and sedges. Turbid caramel water gushed through sluice gates in throbbing, swallowing gouts. Most of today was bright, cool and fair, clean electric blue sky and clouds swept and piled up into surly piles along the horozon.
Wind turned the willow canopies over, silver bellies upward, as if rain had washed all the gold out of the trees.

Late at night I took a second very short walk, hoping to catch a glimpse at some orionids, but clouds had begun to spread out again and much of the sky was swallowed up by a combination of the dull brown stain from rising streetlights and a startling white blaze. The hunter’s moon in full glory, painful to look at full-on, surrounded by a great arcing moonbow-like grey aureole.

A low key day of continued recovery mainly, bleary and slow after little and fitful sleep, slowly feeling more coherent and more myself as the bright afternoon wore on.

May we find time and space today to listen to ourselves more deeply and understand more about what we really want and need today!
