Goodnight friends! A grey, shivering morning with wind hissing through branches, bending poplars like bowstaves. By midday the gusts had brought denser, heavier clouds that unleashed a steady diagonal rattle of rain that has rarely let up for long since, dim afternoon stealthily sliding into the long gloom of an thick sepia evening falling suddenly by 7 rather than 8pm.

Got through a little exercise, joints protesting from the damp, head from poor sleep, and unsurprisingly found myself virtually wiped out for the rest of the day, breathless and half-dislocated from my body til evening. I felt like I would have been mostly absent anyway, so it seemed far better to move as much as I could and let my vagueness also serve for recovery.

May we find quiet calm and healing today!
