Goodnight friends! Morning through early afternoon as drowsy grey as yesterday, muffled again by periodic sheets of fine rain. Slowly the clouds were scraped away and pried apart by a soft dry breeze, and the sky was streaked with long curling birch-bark strips of colour and rippling movement. The wind full of a rich, chalky honey-like aroma, the seductive bee-lure scent of lady’s bedstraw and purple, thistle-like black knapweed. The goslings are almost fully fledged now, startling in their lankiness, tattered versions of their black necks and white chinstraps taking shape.
A full and intentional rest day today, letting go of any particular schedule or intention and letting my whims and fatigue level team up to guide me in as slow, intuitive a way as I could.
May we open up space in our hearts and minds for learning and growth today!
