Goodnight friends! Through most of the day it seemed almost impossible we might be on the verge of a change in the weather – a breathless baking 27°c, sky so featurelessly expansively blue that it made my head spin, full of melody and hum. Lawns bristle with tall, stalky ribwort plantain and yellow hawkbits, outracing the mowers, trembling slightly in rare hot breaths of breeze. Clouds only began to sidle in during the pale lavender lull of later afternoon, the air beginning to tickle and swelling with a coarse rich smell like stone.
Felt a bit of success in experimentally blocking out my day, the fine weather and a purposefully shorter walk letting me section of a few relatively energetic hours of the afternoon to specifically sit and draw. I wear out quickly, and the same issue has been discouraging me for a while, and I might need to reflect on how to deal with the mental as well as physical effects of that fatigue on my enthusiasm to engage in creative activities.
May we support, nurture and encourage each other in our effort and growth today!
