Goodnight friends! Clouded over somewhat in the last few hours before sunset, but mostly it’s been another indulgent, baking hot dry day of high summer. Even now the sky is a deep dark sleepy velvet blue it’s barely below 20°c. The earth is pale terracotta brown, parched and split and the first thin, high-pitched whirs of crickets are tentatively sounding among the tall meadow grasses.
A little wearied from lack of sleep, but otherwise just a really lovely restful day of doing a few of the very light, gently time-consuming activities that need to be done every so often. Posted a letter, did some dishes, backed up some files…just re-ordering things a little and helping my life make more sense.
