Goodnight friends! A pale grey start today, but through the afternoon clouds broke up and reformed into neatly spaced ranks of scudding pale cumulus. The temperature crept up past 15°c and I felt the start of what will hopefully be a few days of much fairer weather.
Vaccination went fairly smoothly. Maybe just that I haven’t been that far from my house or near that many people in over a year but I found myself deeply moved by the awkward tendernesses of public nicety and negotiation as I was passed from one attendant to the next. We exchanged our nods and hellos and thanks and not-quite-jokes, gauging each others’ muffled voices and visored eyes for the mild frisson of tiredness and worry we knew would be there.
