Good afternoon friends! One bright side of this current damp uncertain weather is that with less energy and focus, as the day wears on I’ve found it easier to wind down and get to sleep. I was in bed before 1 AM, alert again before 10. I already went walking, played around in my sketchbook, did a few household tasks. A bit drained now, but it’s more pleasant being worn out with soft birdsong and a stretch of mild, quiet early evening ahead.

Bands of rain and pale blue sky scrolling by again, air clammy and fizzing with constant change. Meadow tussocks swelling, humping up, spongy with water and thickly fecund with pearl-flecked, heavy headed wild grasses.

May we find and build a sense of joy and purpose through what we do today!
