Goodnight friends! We got our rain today, in skittering momentary showers and hammering squalls – and we got sun too, and bullish winds that snatched at my hat, tore at the candy-striped apple blossoms, made glossy indigo magpies stutter on the wing. Thick scents of simmering wet earth and concrete and wilting wild garlic, too heavy and rich for the galloping breezes to clear completely.
Sore and a little dizzy, with a few more intense spells of exhaustion and nausea that made it very hard to stand. Struggled more than a little to get through my exercise, but just about enough stamina overall to be functional afterwards and glad that I moved about a bit. A good sign in general is that I had enough mental energy that I wished I had a little more physical strength to sit and draw.
May we grow towards better, more conscious and kinder ways of living today!
