Goodnight friends! Often glad to see a rainy forecast miss the mark, and today was no exception – both the clearest and warmest day day in weeks, brushing against 20°c and clouds whipped into a thin ribbony froth of slender cursive loops. Buttercups starting to flash mirror-glinting yellow on meadows and verges. New mute swan parents hiss like boiled-dry kettles whenever anything comes within a metre of their smoke grey cygnets. From late afternoon the light dimmed quickly, sky sealing up again, so tomorrow’s dour forecast may be a return to accuracy.

All in all a very pleasant day, shed a lot of the ambient melancholy that had been.weighing on me. Body and brain both feeling much freer, able to potter around, draw, take a longish walk, do a little household admin.

May we find actions and habits that nourish us and help us build better lives today!
