Goodnight friends! Prettiest day in a while, if a little colder with continuing fretful bluster and without such a heavy blanketing of cloud. A respite from rain which gave me a bit of a break the forecasts suggest I shouldn’t get used to. Undergowth and verges thicker and full of vibrant chaos – garlic mustard towering up and up, nettles swallowing up goutweed and starry wild garlic, succulent leaves of st John’s-worts and buttercups and clover swell in any untended scrap of grass.
Leftover dizzy sluggishness and twinges in my arms and knees lead me to keep things slowed down for now. Even an abbreviated set of exercises left me feeling winded and dazed for the rest of the day. I pressed myself to go on a subtantial evening walk though, both to get a glimpse of full sunlight while I could and to ease the frustrated boredom of my mazy, slippery thinking.
May we find moments of serenity and unhurried calm today!
